Dallas Cowboys had the worst possible start in the preseason with a loss. On top of the loss, the Cowboys had to deal with 17 penalties that led to Stephen A. Smith mocking America’s team as always. Smith paid no sympathy to Jerry Jones’ team and reiterated his statements about the Cowboys’ performance.

In addition, Smith said, “I was right the last year, I was right the last 26 years and I’m going to be right again. And by the way, I’m telling Jerry Jones and I’m sorry Cowboy fans… Just wait, be patient, this is just an indication of the things to come. They will not let you down. They are who we know they are.”
Moreover, the Cowboys lost to the Broncos 17-7. A Dak Prescott-less Cowboys looked like a weaker team than usual. After conceding 17 points without a concrete response in the first three quarters; Mike McCarthy and his team avoided a whitewash in Denver. On the other hand, Michael Irvin and Stephen A. Smith do not always see eye to eye and it is evident from Smith’s words about the Cowboys.

To sum up, the Cowboys’ 17-7 loss in the preseason prompted Smith to troll the team. He is not fond of Jones and his decisions for the team and it is evident by his statements. The Cowboys would hope Prescott and his receivers’ armory comes back before the regular season.
