After last week’s loss against the Rams, the rules were simple for the Vikings. Win the rest of the matches and hope to qualify for the playoffs. Unfortunately for the Vikings, they lost their star quarterback Kirk Cousins to COVID right before the decisive clash against the Packers. Safe to say, the absence of Cousins was clearly visible as the Vikings’ offense looked toothless in their 37-10 loss.

On the other hand, Aaron Rodgers continued his fine form for the Packers. The superstar quarterback not only threw for 288 yards but he also scored two TDs. His stellar performance meant that the Packers were able to clinch the top seed in the NFC thus securing home-field advantage through the playoffs.

Skip Bayless claims Aaron Rodgers’ performance against Vikings is not special; has strong players around him

Despite having a terrific game against the Vikings, Skip Bayless argued that Rodgers‘ performance was ordinary. The TV journalist argued that Rodgers’ performance looks good thanks to the quality that he is surrounded by. As per Bayless, having Davante Adams coupled with Cousins’ COVID positive helped Rodgers play well against the Vikings.

“Poor Aaron Rodgers just can’t get a break,” said the TV journalist. “He has the most uncoverable receiver in the NFL, a top-five rushing attack … AND unvaccinated Kirk Cousins is missing this game with COVID.”
