According to Joe Mixon’s neighbor, someone fired some shots at high school teenagers playing ‘Nerf War’ in the vicinity of the neighborhood. And what is even more chilling is that the shots came from the Bengals running back’s house. Although it is still not clear who exactly fired the shots.

According to reports, the Hamilton County police came after the reported incident at around midnight. The authorities took one of the teenagers to the hospital. But they did not disclose the extent of the injuries to the teenager.

Mixon’s sister has denied the RB’s involvement in the case. The police have also not arrested anyone in the matter. But the case comes just months after Mixon’s involvement in an aggravating menacing case where he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman. The authorities eventually dropped that case.

It is still not clear who fired the shots and why, although a neighbor told the media that someone fired as many as seven rounds. And it is exactly this kind of lack of clarity that gives rise to speculations.

According to a neighbor, the teenagers went into someone’s backyard. “Seven rounds were shot because they were playing Nerf Wars and apparently went into one of the neighbor’s yards back here, and that neighbor opened fire,” said Tracy Schaeper, according to WLW TV via BBC.

Some neighbors did say that the shots came from Mixon’s house but that might just be another speculation. The county police are on the case and will uncover the truth soon. Until then, everything anyone says is just speculation. And in the end, the truth will emerge as the real winner.
