Seeing his name announced on the team sheet for Saints surprised many, but in his five games for the Saints, he proved he was a decent utility player. Before playing for the Saints, Chris played nine years in the NFL. He was largely associated with the New England Patriots (49 games in three years) and Buffalo Bills (48 games in four years).

Why is Chris Hogan retiring from the NFL in the middle of the season?

Chris Hogan’s sudden decision to retire from NFL is speculated to be of personal reasons. According to reliable New Orleans journalist Nick Underhill, the wide receiver did not attend the training session last week as he was away from the team to be with his wife.

He had been contemplating this decision to retire for a while now and he has conveyed this to the Saints, according to Nick. Only the official announcement from Chris is left. Now that he has retired, he will have no opposition to return to playing across or fully commit to hanging up his boots.

In any case, he’s leaving the NFL on his own terms at this point and we wish Chris Hogan all the best for a successful post-NFL career!
