Despite that disappointment, Rodgers had a fine individual season once again. He threw for 4,000+ yards for the second year running. He had a pass completion rate of 62 with just four interceptions as the Packers ended the regular season with a 13-3 record. At 36, Rodgers has shown no signs of slowing down in recent years.

This is why fans and players, and even Rodgers himself, were all shocked when the Packers opted to trade up and draft rookie quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL draft.

Colin Cowherd and Joy Taylor expecting Aaron Rodgers to ‘up the ante’ in 2020

On a recent portion of The Herd With Colin Cowherd, they talked about the situation that Rodgers finds himself in at Lambeau Field. The Packers faithful consider Rodgers as one of their own. Since being drafted in 2005, the California-born quarterback has led the Packers to one Super Bowl title. In addition to that, Rodgers also bagged the NFL MVP awards on two occasions (2011,2014). Fans were left perplexed when the Mark Murphy-led organization opted to bring in a quarterback rather than strengthen the wideout department. Without a doubt, this will spur A-Rod to up his game and silence his doubters in 2020.
