Rob Gronkowski did not attend his practice on Tuesday

Although his absence from Tuesday’s practice does not reveal that he will be unavailable against the Bears this Sunday but this update on the All-Pro tight end is a bit discouraging.

With Gronkowski on the sidelines, his partnership with Tom Brady has been put on hold since the third week of the regular season. During those three games, he had 16 receptions for 184 yards and four touchdowns. Fortunately, the Buccaneers have an abundance of talent in the tight end spot, which keeps the squad intact.

With the likes of Cameron Brate and OJ Howard, the Bucs have been able to fill in the tight end void. Howard against the Eagles hauled in six passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. However, despite not having Gronkowski in the team, the Buccaneers are still averaging 30.6 points per game during his absence.

Although it is not very clear about the severity of his injury, the fog of uncertainty will get cleared once the Bucs release their injury report later today. With Gronkowski gone for so long, Tom Brady will look forward to see his favorite target back this weekend.

The Buccaneers take on Chicago Bears at Raymond James Stadium this Sunday night. Everyone will long for a Brady-Gronks partnership on the gridiron. However, that can only happen only if the star tight end is given a green flag today in the report.
