Brady signed the jersey, writing ‘To Thibaut, the best goalkeeper in the world!’. Courtois thanked Brady for the gift and got a kind response from Brady in the comments section.

This kind of praise coming from Brady will be monumental for any athlete. Brady has been the best player of his generation, and his career has spanned several generations.

Furthermore, he is the most successful athlete in the NFL, having won more Super Bowl titles by himself than any other franchise in the NFL. For an athlete to be the most successful entity in a sport, even beyond teams is unprecedented in any sport.

Tom Brady still defying the odds

Last season was especially incredible for Tom Brady. After spending most of his career in New England, Brady looked for greener pastures.

He had a falling out with the franchise over a contract dispute. And so, he chose to go to a different team and prove how valuable he is. He was approached by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to sign for them.

Brady’s first season with a new team looked shaky at the start. There were reports that Brady and Head Coach Bruce Arians were not getting along very well. This was furthered by Arians’ public criticisms of Brady.

However, they resolved their differences, as Brady secured a playoff spot for the Buccaneers. Brady and the Buccaneers then went on to win the Super Bowl, the 7th of his career.
