The Netflix documentary on QBs did more than provide an insight into the life of Patrick Mahomes. Following the underwhelming build-up to one of the most awaited NFL documentaries, ‘Quarterback’ provided the fans with behind-the-scenes insight. It shed light on one of the most controversial incidents from last year between Mahomes and Crosby, the headbutt incident.

Although both have moved on from it ever since the rivalry cannot die down between the two sides. In the latest social media update, Crosby responded to Mahomes with a pocket treasure for the fans.

Patrick Mahomes receives a subtle dig

The Chiefs captain is all too familiar with the merchandise sold around him. From tees to jerseys to kits, any and every NFL fan is drawn to own at least one piece of merch with Mahomes’ name. Although it hasn’t left his foe/rival far too behind in this metric. As Crosby’s latest IG story flashed his own merch in possession of a fan.

Crosby posted a story on his Insta handle in which he is tagged by a fan showing off a keychain. The keychain bags the name of Raiders and its DE, Crosby along with their badge to complete the trio. The fan would caption the story with, “My little new keychain” and tagged Crosby which led to the mention.

The back-and-forth between Mahomes and Crosby will continue to last as long as they both play in the NFL. But it hasn’t transpired into a bitter relationship many might have thought about.

As in his latest post on IG, he’d tag the Super Bowl winner and honor him just days after the blockbuster release of the documentary.

Moment of Respect between rivals

Despite their differences, Crosby and the QB have not dived into the depths of bitterness toward the other. The respect between the two was on full display in the latest IG post by the DE, which he would caption with the words, “Ultimate Competition. Ultimate Respect. Loading…” 

It’d definitely inspire mixed emotions from fans of both camps since the two sides are not known for being friendly toward the other. Although, the post could lay the foundation for separating football from the rest, as NFL can build on the positive vibe shared between the rivals.

Maxx Crosby’s latest dig may not be a gut-wrenching twist for Patrick Mahomes. But it’s enough to keep the two lined up against the other as they build up for the season ahead.
