Aaron Rodgers is a tremendous asset to the Green Bay Packers, but he needs a few elite receivers to secure a Super Bowl win. With the signing of Sammy Watkins, a prolific wide receiver, he would surely hope that this new addition to his arsenal would get him over the line. Packers HC Matt LaFleur has previous experience with Watkins and is hoping to use it to build a world-class offense.

In his eight-year-long career, this is going to be Watkins’ fifth team. Previously, he played with the Bills, Rams, Chiefs, and Ravens. He caught an average of 43.5 passes a year for a total of 5,059 career yards and 34 touchdowns.

Matt LaFleur’s experiences with Watkins and hopes for Aaron Rodgers

Speaking about his experience with Watkins at the Rams, Matt had praiseworthy things to outline. He said, “Sammy was great for us. Just a guy that came to work each and every day. We didn’t get him until it was a couple of weeks into training camp. He had to pick it up pretty quickly, and he did a heck of a job with that.”

Aaron Rodgers is set to pair up with Watkins in the upcoming NFL season. The odds of Green Bay going all the way remain quite low, as Sammy replaces two sterling receivers in Davante Adams and Marques-Valdez Scantling.
