Tom Brady on balancing parenting and NFL

Tom Brady talked about work-life balance in an interview with ‘Us Weekly’ in June. This was a few months before his wife, Gisele Bündchen, hired divorce lawyers. In the interview, he talked about retirement and the factors that come into play while deciding when to hang up the boots.

“I think the point is everything really comes at a cost — to choose one thing and not another. I just got to make sure I have things balanced out the way that I need to have them balanced out at,” Brady said in the interview.

The QB also said that he focuses fully on football during the season. But as soon as the season gets over, then it is all about family. Brady believes he is still a work in progress in the matters of being a parent and a partner. He also admitted that he can do a better job there.“So, I think for me, it’s just a matter of making sure in the off-season, I try to cover a lot of things and make sure a lot of things are taken care of,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said.

The divorce?

There have been multiple reports that Tom Brady and his wife are set for a divorce. The claim is that there has been tension between the couple since Brady’s decision to come out of retirement and play in the NFL again. Brady had announced his decision to retire from the game earlier this year, only to come back out of it just 40 days later.

The legendary quarterback has won seven Super Bowl titles. He hopes to win the eighth one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season. The athlete revealed earlier that he thought he had a little bit left in him. This feeling drove him to come out of retirement for another shot at the championship.
