In a game that finished in a 13-10 scoreline, Rodgers wasn’t able to contribute his usual amount of the offense. While appearing on the show on Tuesday, Rodgers states, “One thing I would not do, 100% not do, is retire and then come back a year later. I don’t have any desire to do that. That makes no sense.” But following the game, Rodgers was clear on his side that he will decide before 2022 free agency.

Aaron Rodgers Clearing Up His Future Plans

The Green Bay Packers franchise could be in for a player exodus if Rodgers departs from the team. Players like WR Davante Adams, who had a breakout season during the 2021 season, is also one of the expiring contract players. Rodgers believes that responsibility falls on him to clear his status with the franchise.

Many players look up to Rodgers as a locker room leader and depend on the clarity of his situation to make their own decisions. Even coach Matt LaFleur was also showing a willingness to retain Rodgers till the time he eventually retires. The franchise shows every sign to motivate and encourage Rodgers to sign a new contract.

Any sort of cause for tension between the franchise and Rodgers was about his say during their team decision process. But recent reports do indicate relationships improving every passing week between the two parties. There seems to be a willingness between them both to work things out for the betterment of their chances at silverware.
