NFL GOAT Tom Brady has created many friendships outside the game. Some of them are with prominent political leaders and Donald Trump is one among them. As per new reports, Tom Terrific has found a friend, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, with whom he is on texting terms. The disclosure came via the Republican nominee for Wisconsin Governor, Tim Michels. 

He came to know about it when he took DeSantis to a Packers game last month. Michels, during a campaign event, said the Wisconsin Governor told him he was texting Tom Brady about a visit to the famous Lambeau. 

When Donald Trump and Tom Brady were friends

Tom Brady and Donald Trump have been friends since their first meeting in 2001. During that time, the then real estate mogul asked the football player to judge a Miss USA competition. Trump admired TB12 for a reason. 

“I think he’s a great character. I got to know him when he was a judge at a jitterbug contest I entered after the Patriots won the Super Bowl,” Trump told Playboy in 2004. In 2015, the NFL GOAT backed the former US President to win the 2016 elections. The 45-year-old said, “it would be great” if the Republican candidate register a win. After this, the politician passed the people’s mandate and became the president of the US.

But Tom Brady never claimed to be a Republican, and just expressed his support of Trump as a good friend. Because the NFL GOAT is not ready for a political stature as a Republican member, as he is already an athlete.

Trump faces heat from DeSantis. Where does TB12 fit in?

Donald Trump is already starting a 2024 fight with the Florida Governor. The former US President said the plan of DeSantis, to record an automated phone call to support Joe O’Dea was a big mistake.

However, Tom Brady is not affiliated with any party and has been at the forefront of national unity and pride. The future HOF-er has had a disappointing NFL season so far. He would aim at erasing past mistakes and making himself ready for week 8.
