February was a big month for Odell Beckham Jr. The Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver won the Super Bowl on the 13th. And he welcomed his first child with his girlfriend, Lauren Wood, on the 17th. They named their baby boy Zydn. The 29-year-old athlete is trying his very best to be a good father.

That week was crazy for Beckham. He was overwhelmed with positive news. Welcoming Zydn just mere four days after winning the Lombardi Trophy was described by OBJ as the biggest blessing he ever had. Parenting is not an easy job. In the most recent Instagram post, the new father seems to be struggling a bit.

Odell Beckham Jr. and Lauren Wood made their relationship official in 2019. They announced Wood’s pregnancy in November 2021. The couple received their blessings on February 17, 2022. They welcomed a beautiful baby boy into this world. Beckham and Wood decided to name the baby Zydn. OBJ expressed his gratitude in a lengthy Instagram post.

The wide receiver was fresh off surgery when he made the post. Beckham tore his ACL again during the Super Bowl LVI game against the Bengals. He missed out on the second half. OBJ witnessed the rest of the game from the sidelines after being injured. The pain quickly went away after the Rams won the game. OBJ might have missed the entire game if Lauren went into labor. But the timings worked out, and Zydn was born four days after the Super Bowl.

“This is as real as it gets,” wrote Beckham. “This last week has been one that I truly could never forget… 2-17-22, 0605. THE biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life arrived here on earth! The words, I can’t even put together for the overwhelming emotions that ran thru me … a moment I will never forget and cherish forever. Zydn was born n at that moment I knew my life changed for the better.”

Parenting ain’t easy

Recently, Odell Beckham Jr posted some cute photos with his son. In those pictures, we can see the wide receiver trying his very best to feed his baby. It seems like Beckham is getting used to being a parent. In the caption, he wrote, “They don’t give out no pamphlet for this shhhh.” OBJ adds, “But uhhh I think I’m getting the hang of it.”

Beckham might be the best wide receiver in the league today. But he also has his sights set on being the best dad.
