To watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the New Orleans Saints, Odell Beckham Jr. attended the game. However, when he greeted and hugged the NFL GOAT Tom Brady before the start of the Bucs and the Saints game, it got fans thinking if the Buccaneers are interested in acquiring the 29-year-old on their roster.

The 2022 season kicked off, but the former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver stays a free agent. Odell Beckham Jr. sustained a second ACL tear injury in the 2021 season, which made it difficult for the Rams to offer him an extension.

It is surprising considering he remains an accomplished WR with a Super Bowl championship to his name. Beckham spent the entire off-season getting back into shape but remained unsigned.

OBJ is 29 years old, which means he still has a lot to offer to the sport. Seeing his potential, the Tampa Bay leading QB, Tom Brady could help recruit him. Recently, both the athletes were seen embracing each other and exchanging a few words in a video uploaded by NFL on Instagram. On that video, one fan commented, “Odell to the Bucs confirmed” and many other fans echoed the same response.

Was this team ever interested in Odell Beckham Jr.?

While he was still in rehab because of his second ACL tear, the veteran wide receiver received many offers, as per reports.

A statement which read, “On the opening weekend of the #NFL preseason, Odell Beckham Jr. is in Las Vegas. This is home away from home for #OBJ With the #Raiders looking for someone to step up as the number two WR, this would be a perfect marriage.”

However, nothing came out of it as the team picked the former Green Bay Packers WR, Davante Adams. Maybe Odell Beckham Jr. would find his place on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if the injured players increase on the team. Chris Godwin injured his hamstring and did not play against the New Orleans Saints.

Even though the Bucs decide to sign OBJ, he may not be ready to play until much later.
