The franchise has been on a self-explosive trend of late. Starting from the firing of Head Coach and GM Bill O’Brien early on in the season, the franchise finished 2020 with a 4-12 record.

Things took a turn for the worse in the ensuing postseason, though. Watson was promised by the Texans franchise to be consulted regarding the hiring of a new Head Coach and GM.

Deshaun Watson no longer wants to be associated with the Texans

Removing any mention of the franchise from his social media handles, Deshaun Watson looks all but set to pack his bags and leave.

Watson had a stellar 2020 season. Amassing close to 5,000 passing yards with a faltering Texans’ side, Watson showed he can deliver regardless of the tools he has around him. And still only 25, the quarterback clearly has his best years left ahead of him.

While new GM Nick Caserio made it clear that the franchise has no intention of parting with the quarterback, it only seems like a matter of time before Watson forces a move elsewhere.
