The Chiefs’ star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, now has his own show! A docu-series, produced by Netflix, takes a deep dive into the 2X MVP’s pivotal moments in his career. Whether it’s the struggling days or the triumphant victories, it’s all there in the series. The eight-episode docu-series has been a hit among the NFL community, with fairly positive reviews. A week past its release date, there are still clips emerging from the show, fascinating fans.

A recently unearthed clip from the previous season reveals an intriguing sight, where Mahomes can be seen going through the complete five stages of grief. While the entire arena stood in disbelief at his injury, Mahomes could be seen on the sidelines engaged in a passionate argument with the team’s head coach, desperately vying for a chance to re-enter the game.

Patrick Mahomes’ beloved wife also wasn’t happy with his decision

The event took place at the last season’s divisional-round game against the Jaguars. Mahomes took an awkward fall after a tackle and could be seen in excruciating pain, also, whimpering and crying. The severity of his injury prompted the HC, Andy Reid, to call a timeout for the team to regroup, particularly focusing on Mahomes. In the recently surfaced video, we see Mahomes standing on the sidelines, looking at a team tablet, possibly reviewing the game plan.

The video begins when Reid approaches Mahomes, urging him to take a break from the game. He can be heard saying, “I’m going to take you out here.” And instantly, he disagrees with the coach’s decision, starting with a firm, “No! F**k no, I’m good, hell no,” expressing his desire to stay in the game. He adds, “I have one more drive at least, no way, no, I’ll do it at halftime,” trying to bargain his way out of the situation.

Mahomes can then be seen throwing his jersey on the ground in anger, and walking off the field, accepting his fate. In a private booth, his concerned wife can be seen expressing her hesitation about Mahomes returning to play. But it seems the Super Bowl Champion was not willing to give up just yet.

After that intense debate with the head coach, Mahomes angrily made his way out of the sidelines. And moments later, he can be seen wearing a helmet and running to the sideline, screaming, “I gotta go, I’m good, I’m good. Let’s go.” His concerned wife can be heard talking to the Mahomes family in the booth, and asking if he was going onto the field, as he was limping his way to the sidelines.

Brittany can also be heard saying, “You need to get out of the game. Look at him! He can’t even walk.” The clip concludes by showing injured Mahomes in the field trying his best to keep the team together.

If it’s anything, it’s a remarkable display of competitiveness. It is no secret what happened that day, as the Chiefs still managed to win the game, heading to the conference championships against the Bengals. Following the game, Mahomes spent nearly a week working with professional trainers to heal his ankle before heading to the championships.

All in all, these clips highlight Mahomes’ unwavering hunger throughout his career. His determination and extraordinary athletic abilities are on another level. It will certainly be interesting to see how he manages to conquer the upcoming season.
