Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks are currently on a 5-1 record heading into Week 8. They suffered a shock 37-34 OT defeat at the hands of Kyler Murray’s Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, notching their first setback of the season. The Seahawks are being tipped to challenge for the Super Bowl this season.

Pete Carroll and Co. are leaving no stone unturned as they push for a playoff spot. As per insider news, the NFC West franchise is pushing to sign Cincinnati Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap before the deadline day beckons.

NFL Trade Rumors

Bengals are trading Carlos Dunlap to Seattle Seahawks before the deadline

Multiple NFL insiders such as Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter are claiming that the Seahawks have agreed on a trade deal with the Bengals for DE Carlos Dunlap.

The 31-year-old has been with the Bengals since his induction into the NFL back in 2010. He was voted to the Pro Bowl on two occasions.

As per reports, the AFC North franchise will be given multiple draft-pick compensations for Dunlap’s signature. The University of Florida graduate has featured in all 7 games for the Bengals this year.

The veteran defensive end has 13 solo tackles and one sack to his name as we approach the mid-way stage of the competition.

Carlos Dunlap will offer the Seahawks an added option in defense. He is unlikely to slip into the starting line-up on an immediate basis; however, he can serve as a backup in case of an injury to the likes of LJ Collier and Jonathan Bullard.
