A close 23-20 win for the Rams was watched by 112.3 million, including 101.1 million TV viewers and another 11.2 million streamers.
The game became the most-watched program in five years since Super Bowl LI. That game featured the Patriots making an improbable comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons and it drew an audience of 113.7 million fans. According to Ari Meirov from PFF, the LVI game saw a 14% jump in viewership since last season.

The NFL’s Super Bowl LVI numbers are promising
The NFL’s Pepsi Half-Time Show does at times witnesses a dropoff in viewership but not this year. It averaged 103.4 million viewers from 8:15 to 8:30 p.m period. The fans seem to have been sticking around to see some of their favorite artists performing like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
The mere fact that all playoff games provided fans with unpredictable and close results had built up the excitement further for the Super Bowl. All the previous close games and overtime games between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills excited fans this season. LVI didn’t disappoint with yet another close outing where the game came down to the final 2 minutes.
