After being relatively quiet this offseason, the New York Giants made a big splash in the free agency market by signing wide receiver Kenny Golladay. According to sources, the former Detroit Lions player signed a 4-year contract worth up to $72 million.

The deal is extra sweet for Golladay, given that it comes with $40 million in guarantees. And it’s safe to say that the WR deserves the sort of money he’ll be getting at the Big Apple.

Golladay was touted as one of the best wide receivers entering the offseason. Following a Pro Bowl season in 2019, the wideout missed out on a majority of 2020 with a hip injury. But with the new season approaching, Golladay is ready for a new challenge.

And looking forward to working with him on the field is New York Giants QB Daniel Jones.

Jones was apparently among the handful in the organization that reached out to him before the signing.

“When we spoke, he was interested in the culture we have in the building and the mindset of the team. I think he had heard it from coaches but wanted to hear how we saw it as players and how much we believed in it,” he said.

“So I think finding the right fit in that sense was important to him. I can’t wait to get out on the field and get to work with him,” he added.

In Golladay, Jones will have a premier playmaker. The wide receiver was easily among one of the highest-rated free agents heading into the new season. And with him onboard, Jones has a lethal weapon in his arsenal.

With Golladay now a Giant, do you feel the wideout will help Daniel Jones elevate his game to the next level?
