Eli Manning is arguably one of the greatest quarterback’s to have played for a franchise representing the city of New York. Being among the ranks of players like Joe Namath and Phill Simms is no easy feat, but Manning did his bit to cement his spot among the all-time elites.
Winning two Super Bowls and being one of only two men ever to stop Tom Brady from winning a Lombardi, Eli Manning lived up to the expectations.

Looking to move on from the veteran, the Giants drafted Daniel Jones in 2019. A player some believe shares some similarities with Eli.
While Jones might have the drive and determination of his predecessor, he’s failed to replicate Manning’s record on the field.
By Manning’s second year, the Giants went 11-5. And by his fourth, the team had won a Super Bowl. Jones who enters his third season in the NFL took the Giants to a 5-9 record last season. Missing out on two big games through injury.
Eli Manning has faith in Daniel Jones
Eli Manning though is confident that Jones has what it takes to get better. During an interview with SI.com, Manning talked about how he feels a little more stability from a coaching perspective will help Jones in his third season.
“It’s hard when you have a quarterback in his second year, second offensive coordinator, a lot of changes,” Manning said.
“The fact that he’ll be going into the same offense for two consecutive years will help him, help him grow as a player, be more comfortable in the offense,” he added.
Manning said that he is aware of Jones’ commitment to getting better. And how that will eventually lead to him succeeding in the league.

“I know he works extremely hard, I know he’s committed and dedicated to doing whatever possible… Having those qualities is the start that you need to eventually have success in the NFL. I think he has those things,” Manning said.
“He of course has the talent, the ability to make the plays. It’s just combining all those together, plus getting the guys around him that can help him, and I think that’s what the Giants are doing,” he added.
