Eli Manning owns several records as the starting quarterback for the New York Giants over the past 16 years. He is one of five players who has won the Super Bowl MVP award multiple times. However, the most recent Eli’s Places episode introduced an entirely new avatar of Eli that fans had never seen before!

Eli Manning got inspired by Mark Wahlberg in the new episode of ‘Eli’s Places’

Remember Mark Wahlberg from Invincible? When he played the legendary Vince Papale on screen and received rave reviews? Well, Manning played Wahlberg, or in this case, Chad Powers, that too, in a Vince Papale-Esque manner. But, with a ‘creative’ twist!

So Manning went undercover as ‘Chad Powers.’ A substitute coach and part-time carpenter. Chad wants to play quarterback as a walk-on at PSU. So Eli hired top Hollywood makeup artists to make him look like Matthew McConaughey, but with an unnecessary extra-long nose.

As soon as he arrived at Penn State, the long nose gave up his identity in front of the head coach, James Franklin. But there was still time for the rest of the officials and Nittany Lions’ players to watch him peeling off his face skin (mask) in the process of un-disguising himself!

Chad Power said during the tryout that he had been homeschooled and that his mother had taught him football. “My mom was coach, my mum was my coach and my teacher. She wasn’t very smart, but she was a good coach, though.” Powers heard saying on the show. However, alas! The 41-year-old former Giants quarterback could not acquire a roaster place this time. Because coach Franklin ruled him ‘ineligible’ by disclosing his identity.

The latest episode has garnered a lot of positive feedback on social media. “Who would have thought eli and Peyton were so gifted with comedy—- just shows we dont see the real person in games and know what they are really like.” Writes one fan praising Manning on YouTube.
