Aaron Rodgers and the Packers clinched an overtime victory on SNF against the Dallas Cowboys in a thrilling fashion. This brings an end to a five-game losing streak for the Wisconsin franchise. However, things were tense as A-Rod was in a heated conversation with Packers head coach Matt LaFleur.

The Green Bay Packers won 31-28 after coming back from a 14-point deficit in the 3rd quarter. Aaron Rodgers had a dominant game. However, he was impressed with the show his wide receivers put on after disappointing displays in the past weeks of this season. HC Matt LaFleur reiterated this feeling in a very emotional post-match conference.

During the two-minute warning in the Packers and Dallas Cowboys matchup, things got heated on the sidelines between QB Rodgers and Matt LaFleur. Matt addressed it in the post-match presser. He said that there was a lot of indecision involved in the botched run-pass-can play calling. However, the head coach took full responsibility for the game stretching to overtime after Rodgers said, “felt like we were 30 yards from winning the game in regulation.”

Matt LaFleur, who was visibly emotional after the win, spoke about the spat with Rodgers. “A lot of times when we get in those situations, we give Aaron a lot of freedom to run the show. Today, he does a great job with it. So hindsight is 20–20. That’s on me,” LaFleur said on the failed 3rd down conversion. Matt also went into length about dealing with negativity after the five consecutive defeats and how refreshing this win over a dominant Cowboys feels.

Matt LaFleur took over the head coach position at Green Bay in 2019. He was an offensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons and reigning Super Bowl champions, the LA Rams, before joining the Packers.
