Ingram moved from Houston Texans to New Orleans Saints a few weeks ago, giving him a chance to play for the same team he played for from 2011 to 2018.

“I’m just thankful to God,” Ingram said after the game. “I’m thankful for all my teammates, coaches, anyone along the way. My family, my wife, my kids, my parents. I couldn’t have done it without them.”

Ingram also thanked Deuce McAllister, the former Saints running back whose record he broke. “He poured into me as a young professional,” Ingram said. “When things weren’t necessarily ideal, whether it was my role in the offense, whatever it may have been, he was always encouraging and supportive, and I appreciate him for that. I’m honoured to be able to take over Deuce’s record.”

Ingram outlines the objectives in his second stint with New Orleans

All said and done, very few expected Ingram’s return to the Saints. As Ingram revealed, the separation wasn’t easy at all. But what’s done is done as he is now a Saints player. In an interview a while ago, Ingram revealed the Saints’ objectives for this year’s NFL.

But to be able to have the opportunity to go back home where I started and be able to help them fight for a championship is almost something I couldn’t pass up,” Ingram revealed. The RB’s return to Saints has given them a much-needed boost. If he continues playing well like this and luck is by their side, they might even it all!
