The past season has been a quiet one for Odell Beckham Jr. After an awkward landing during the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl victory in February against the Cincinnati Bengals, OBJ has been watching the game from the sideline. With the free agency coming into full swing from Wednesday, the 30-year-old free agent will like to lace up for a comeback into the NFL. OBJ had arranged a workout session for NFL teams in hopes that it sparks an interest in the wide receiver. 

While Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been hot on the trail of acquiring OBJ, Nick Wright feels that only one team will prove to be the sweet spot for his revival into the NFL.

The Chiefs is the best destination for Odell Beckham Jr.

According to Nick Wright in a YouTube video shared by BeerusS TV, The Kansas City Chiefs might be the best spot if Odell Beckham Jr. wants a comeback into the NFL. He said that OBJ’s history of injury, no team might be looking forward to signing the WR to a four-year contract. While remaining unsigned throughout the 2022 season, he remains a top pick in the WRs section.

Wright said, “I don’t think anyone is giving him a four-year deal. And I think he probably would prefer one where he can be balled out for a year, be 31 and then go cash in one more time when the receivers’ market is on fire. There is no better place than  Kansas City!”

According to an article by Charles Goldman on the Chiefs Wire, The Kansas City Chiefs were among the 11 teams that attended the workout session hosted by OBJ. While the Chiefs were a top contender in signing the WR, his knee injury led to nothing concrete forming between the two. Now after OBJ has shown that he is back to being physically fit, the Chiefs might once again have an interest in OBJ.

Will this be the year for OBJ?

As the free agency draws closer, it will be an interesting journey in the OBJ saga. He has announced his intentions of a resurgence and also proved himself to be fit enough for one. But the main question that lingers around is which team will take part in his resurgence?

Will be the Chiefs like how Wright feels? Or will it be Jerry Jones’s Cowboys after a year of pursuit? Things will clear up in the next coming days for OBJ and fans as well.
