The Kansas City Chiefs report to St. Joseph, Missouri, for training ahead of the kickoff. Now that Hill is off the roster, the Chiefs are left with no time to get athletes like JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and more. Although, the gap left by the no. 1 guy in the team is not easy to fill, there is no reason to let the hopes down, yet.

Mecole Hardman Jr. is still confident that the offensive of the Kansas City Chiefs will be successful. Hardman joins ESPN’s First Take to talk about the Chiefs’ prospects without Tyreek Hill entering the training camp. It did not wear out the Chiefs’ WR while complimenting his former Chiefs teammate. During the interview, he oozed confidence and mentioned about his eagerness to take the top spot. The wideout is enthusiastic about the possibilities that Tyreek’s absence will provide for elevating his performance.

I never could show that because of that guy in front of me, which I have no problem. I learned from him. I wish him the best of luck because he’s going to do the same thing at Miami. But I feel like I can take the top off too.”

Mecole Hardman Jr. was Kansas City Chiefs’ replacement for Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill became a center of attraction for the Kansas City Chiefs after their 2019 AFC trip, their first in 25 years. However, as the franchise moved toward the draft, the team’s standout receiver was the subject of legal controversies. Undeniably, Hill was a superstar and was destined to be the QB. The worry was that without Hill, Mahomes would lose his luster; much like it does for some now.

In the 2019 draft, the Chiefs began searching for Mecole Hardman to take his spot. According to Arrowhead Addict, the franchise selected Hardman Jr. in the first round just three years ago to take Tyreek Hill’s spot on the roster. The WR has similar speed capabilities to Cheetah, and the comparisons were inevitable. Even though it is not Tyreek, the Chiefs Kingdom can rely on Hardman Jr.
