Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen faced off at the exhibition golf match, titled ‘The Match,’ for which they had prepared for weeks. Tom Brady partnered with Rodgers, while Allen had Patrick Mahomes as his teammate.

Josh Allen has taken a savage dig at Green bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. The Buffalo Bills QB is of the opinion that Rodgers’ exceptional golf abilities might be because of him choosing to skip the voluntary OTAs.

Bradley Gelber of the USA Today tweeted Allen’s savage take on Rodgers’ golfing skills.

While the OTAs are voluntary, teams expect players to attend them. Rodgers, however, has been conspicuous by his absence from the Packers OTAs, which has slightly disappointed Packers coach Matt LaFleur, who said he’d like all his players to attend the workout.

Allen has used Rodgers’ absence from the OTAs to troll the veteran QB as part of their verbal joust before The Match. The trash-talking began a few days ago, with both sides bashing the other with savage comments.

What led Allen to trash-talk Aaron Rodgers?

Rodgers had earlier commented that Allen and Mahomes would have to bring their A-game if they wanted their words to affect the veteran QBs. Rodgers had said earlier the NFL was full of trash-talkers, which made them (older players) immune to such talk.

Both teams in The Match battered each other with their barbed comments until the hours before the exhibition. All the players involved are colleagues and friends from the NFL, allowing them to get even more savage with their words.

Despite all the trash-talk, the Brady-Rodgers duo finally prevailed in the expected showdown between the NFL stars. It seems Rodgers and Brady had the last word with their win.
