The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Tennessee Titans in their division-round game. The game was very close, and the quarterback Joe Burrow was put in a pretty unique situation. Cincinnati triumphed in the end with a score of 16-19.

In the midst of everything going down, Joe Burrow experienced some technical issues. It forced the quarterback to take matters into his own hands. After a tough and close game, Burrow was able to overcome the odds. Despite everything going against them, the Bengals got the win.

Joe Burrow had to play without his headset 

During the division round matchup against the Titans, Joe Burrow was sacked nine times. But the Bengals still won the game. The thing that is even more impressive than this stat is Burrow calling his own shots. His headset went out in the middle of the game. Burrow had to step up and take matters into his own hands.

The Bengals quarterback was out there as a quarterback for the ’70s. In the old days of the NFL, there were no headsets. All the quarterbacks had to call their own plays. While it is very helpful to have the coach in your ear, Playing like this was exciting for Joe. It was the first time Burrow was in such a situation.

During the post-match press conference, Joe said, “The headset did go out,” he adds, “I had to call three or four plays on my own. All of them worked out.” 

Joe, unfortunately, was not able to make any touchdown, but he still managed to cover 348 yards. And help his team win the AFC title. After learning that Burrow was playing without a headset, this result is even more impressive.

Cincinnati Bengals’ next challenge

After winning the AFC championship, the Bengals are set to face the Kansas City Chiefs. This division-round matchup would be a battle between two very young and talented quarterbacks in the NFL today. Patrick Mahomes will go head-to-head with Joe Burrow.
