Retired NFL GOAT Tom Brady does not seem eager to retire from the world of sports anytime soon. The 7X SB champion has been expanding his $300 million net worth after hanging up his cleats in February. From investing in the world of motorsports to investing in the WNBA team, the Las Vegas Aces, Brady’s portfolio is growing more and more impressive by the day. Most recently, he also invested to become a team owner in the inaugural season of electric motorboat racing, the E1 championships.

And now, Tom Brady has come forward to announce another addition to his investment portfolio. This investment has also brought in the endorsement of former NFL player JJ Watt, who seems excited about the latest announcement. 

Tom Brady dips his toes into the world of soccer

Tom Brady is keeping himself busy despite saying his goodbyes as a player in the gridiron. His $375 million Fox deal as an analyst is set to begin next year. Earlier this year, the 45-year-old also announced his second collaboration with Mark Davis to become a minority stakeholder of the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL. This would start the reign of Tom Brady as an owner in the league. But one particular rule of the league is proving to be a hindrance in the NFL GOAT’s aspirations as a team owner in the NFL. But this has not deterred Tom Brady from stopping investments in the world of sports.

In a recent Instagram post shared by the 45-year-old, he comes forward with a major announcement. Brady is expanding his branches into the world of English soccer, as he becomes the minority shareholder of the English Championship team, Birmingham City. He is now in a partnership with the team’s owners Knighthead Capital Management LLC and is set to become the chairman of the club’s advisory board. This news also excites JJ Watt, who took to the comment section to share his congratulatory messages for the NFL GOAT. The former DE stated that he is “excited about this” and “happy” for Brady in his new venture.

JJ Watt one step ahead of Brady?

The former DE, along with his soccer wife, Kealia Watt, have invested in the English club Burnley FC. The team recently won the EFL championships and has been promoted to the premier league for the upcoming season. Now, the Watts join the Clarets family as they begin their new journey in the highest tier of English Football. This will help bring a steady cash flow into the club and help utilize the transfer window more proficiently. The number of American investors in English football is gradually increasing. Teams such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and others are partially or fully owned by American investors.
