Rob Gronkowski is arguably the greatest tight end of the modern era. Winning four Super Bowls, the image of Gronk spiking the ball in the end zone to celebrate a touchdown is a sight NFL fans are quite familiar with.
Drafted by the New England Patriots in 2010, the tight end played nine seasons with the franchise before signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.

Being a Patriots player almost his entire NFL career, the tight end’s path to the Super Bowl did not intertwine with that of his former franchise last season. But in this upcoming season, things are set to be different.

In Week 4, the New England Patriots will play host to the defending Super Bowl champions. It is a match in which Gronk is almost certain to feature.
“That’s going to be crazy. It’s going to be pretty epic,” Gronk said while talking to the Bucs official team website.

“It’s definitely going to be emotional for sure, I would say. I just had a great nine years (in New England). Probably the best nine years of my life. It was the beginning of basically my whole football career there.”

“I’ve just got to be prepared for that game. I’ve got to be prepared for every game, but especially that one. It’s never going to be easy. We know it’s going to be tough. It’s going to be a good one. It’s going to be different.”
The tie will also see the return of quarterback Tom Brady to Foxborough where he will take on his former Head Coach Bill Belichick. Hence, it is easily the biggest game of the regular season; the hype surrounding this tie is well and truly justified.
