27-year-old quarterback Baker Mayfield has been having a pretty awful season by his standards. Earlier in July, the Cleveland Browns traded him to the Carolina Panthers for a conditional fifth-round draft pick. A few days back, he asked for his release from the Panthers and decided to sign with the Los Angeles Rams. Certainly, he has shifted plenty of times this year from one place to another, and his wife Emily Mayfield recently shared her whole experience throughout all this.

Notably, after a series of poor performances this season, the Panthers demoted him. After a lack of game time, he decided to shift track and joined the Rams. As per his wife, it has been a challenging year for the quarterback as well as her.

Recently, Emily Mayfield took to her Instagram and posted a story where she wrote about her time in Charlotte. She talked about the lovely people she met and fell in love with the city in the process. Now that she is in Los Angeles, she feels ready to face new challenges.

Speaking about her husband Mayfield, she said, “Lastly, Bake, I’m one proud wife kid! It’s been the weirdest, most confusing, challenging, soul-searching year of my life. But the important thing is, we’ve done it together & with God at our center.“

“I’m really proud of where we are, and where we’re headed. Thankful for the man you are today, and how you handle adversity with nothing but grace! Can’t wait to cheer you on #17! Go Rams!,” she further said.

Notably, Emily revealed that she was originally from Nebraska; as for Mayfield, he was born in Austin, Texas.

Baker Mayfield had an amazing start to his Rams career

After Matthew Stafford’s injury, the Rams needed a quarterback, as Mayfield suddenly became an option for them. This Thursday, he played his first game for the Rams where he showed his tremendous football prowess.

At first, he looked a little bit nervous; however, he became a completely different person in the fourth quarter. Notably, the Rams were losing the game against the Raiders by 3-16 in the fourth quarter. In the last 4 minutes, Mayfield changed the game with his incredible passing ability. In the end, his game-winning throw to WR Van Jefferson won them the game. Although the season looks pretty much over for the last season’s Super Bowl champion, Mayfield could become a star next season, if he finds his form under the HC Sean McVay.
