When Love stepped into the game, the Packers were at a 14-point deficit. The quarterback quickly narrowed that down to a seven-point deficit with a touchdown pass to receiver Christian Watson. He said, “I think it [the play] just gave us – especially me, it gave me some confidence that we were moving the ball. That was a huge one. We needed to convert that. The situation, we had to go score. It was huge, kind of a drive-starter for us.” Time was not on the Packers’ side. With the minutes ticking by, Love could not be his team’s knight in shining armor. “The mind-set for me was, ‘Let’s go win the game. Let’s go do whatever we have to do,’ It feels good to be in a situation like that where it’s high stakes,” he added.

Head coach Matt LaFleur is not shocked by Love’s poise in the face of pressure. LaFleur said that he has observed this in Love during practice, while also stating that the quarterback is getting better every day.
