At 43, Tom Brady continues to astonish with his incredible athleticism and the will to win. The former New England Patriots superstar arrived in Tampa Bay earlier this year. Of course, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic caused problems at the start of his tenure. But then again, that isn’t something new in the life of Mr. NFL himself.
‘The Comeback Kid’ kept a low profile throughout the 2020 offseason, bar the charity golf tournament appearance. He continued to train indoors to prepare for the upcoming season.

He stepped onto the field a couple of weeks ago and is already making waves down south. Head coach Bruce Arians was delighted with the almost immediate impression Brady has made since July.

Without a doubt, the advent of the GOAT in Tampa Bay might have ruffled the feathers of a few players in the dressing room. The likes of Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, OJ Howard, Cameron Brate and Shaquil Barrett, will push their limits after Brady’s arrival.
ESPN reporter Jenna Laine was reporting directly from the Buccaneers training camp on Tuesday. Here’s her analysis of the initial impact Tom Brady has made in Florida.
She said, “It changes everything, not just things for the skills players, but everyone has such a greater sense of responsibility. They don’t wanna let that guy down. They don’t wanna be the guy that busts protection, that surrenders the sack or worse.”

Laine further spoke about how Brady’s teammates have slowly started finding their rhythm amidst preseason training. She said, “Well, on the first couple plays of the first practice you saw a little bit of an adjustment period going on. Brady gets the ball out of his hands so, so quickly. You’ve seen that and a number of these guys simply weren’t ready for it…but now that they’ve had some time together, you’re starting to see that chemistry grow more and more.”
“It’s still Bruce Arians’ ‘No risk-it, no biscuit’ offense but the shots downfield and the risks downfield, feels a bit more selective versus when Jameis Winston was calling the shots,” Laine added.
Tampa Bay starts their 2020 campaign with a tough clash against the Drew Brees-led New Orleans Saints. The old foes, Drew Brees and Tom Brady will go at it against one another yet again on September 14, 2020. Which old horse will have the last laugh at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome?
