A sense of uneasiness has been looming over the Green Bay Packers’ locker room. Packers’ offensive tackle, David Bakhtiari, in a recent Zoom conference with the media, admitted that his team’s decision to pick a 21-year-old QB had left him with a feeling of indifference. He exclaimed that the draft picks are out of control.

The new addition to the Packers’ squad has sparked a lot of speculation. Jordan Love was the 26th overall pick by the Green Bay Packers in the NFL drafts 2020.

Packers’ QB and a Super Bowl champion, Aaron Rodgers, has been with the squad since 2005. He has had a number of supporters in the squad, offensive tackle, David Bakhtiari, is one of them.

David Bakhtiari doesn’t want to think emotionally

Bakhtiari stated that he would not let his emotions affect him in an official setting. Packers’ OT stated Love’s draft came as a shock to him. On the other hand, he stated that Jordan Love’s pick won’t affect him as he was not involved in building the roster.

The 28-year-old OT stated that his job is to protect the quarterback and open up holes in the running game. Bakhtiari added that he will be out on Sundays and will play to the best of his ability. He concluded by mentioning that he will control what he can.

“How I feel about the pick doesn’t really matter because I’m not in charge of the building of roster. So I don’t think whatever my point is, my job is to protect the quarterback and open up holes in the running game. That’s what my job title is, so I try to do that to the best of my ability and only control what I can control,” says Packers’ OT.

Bakhtiari believes that his quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, will do the same. He also added that the two-time MVP remains competitive as ever.
