However, it is going to be a tough time for them since as per NFL Insider Adam Schefter; the Packers have entered the offseason with $44.8 million over the salary cap.

The prime focus for the Packers will be quarterback Aaron Rodgers since other players like Davante Adams are expected to follow his suit. But the quarterback himself is in great dilemmas regarding his future with the franchise. The 38-year-old during his post-game conference revealed that he will be needing some time to think about it and make a firm decision.

“I didn’t think we’d be talking about this after this game,” Rodgers said. “I’m going to take some time and have conversations with folks around here, and then take some time away and make a decision — obviously before free agency or anything gets going on that front. It’s fresh right now. A little shocking for sure. I was hoping to have a nice weekend for the NFC Championship, to enjoy the lead-up and then start contemplating some things, so I haven’t even let the moment really sink in yet.”

Rodgers, during his previous offseason, had already opened up about his intentions of leaving the franchise. Not to mention, that the Packers-Rodgers offseason drama made many headlines last year. But it’s yet to be seen if he still possesses the same opinions even today. His fans had great expectations from Rodgers this season, yet he ended his season almost in the same fashion as he did last year.
