The Aaron Rodgers trade saga is proving to be one of the most compelling storylines of this offseason. Since rumors first started doing the rounds of his disenchantment with the side’s management, Rodgers has gone on to miss the side’s OTAs.

While OTAs aren’t mandatory, this is the first that Rodgers has missed over the course of his NFL career. And now with mandatory minicamp set to start, there’s talk about whether Aaron Rodgers will show up. 

Last spotted vacationing with fiancée Shailene Woodley in Hawaii, not much is known about whether Rodgers will indeed turn up for the minicamp.

But one NFL analyst believes that Rodgers will show up, putting months of speculation about a possible trade to rest.  

Aaron Rodgers to suck up and move on

Appearing on the Rich Eisen Show, NFL analyst Mike Florio was asked his thoughts on the current Aaron Rodgers – Packers scenario.

While Florio agreed that there is trouble in paradise, he said that Rodgers will indeed show up for the mandatory minicamp.

“I think that at the end of the day, he’s showing up. And I think it’s gonna be one of the most awkward, compelling storylines we’ve ever witnessed,” said Florio.

Talking about Rodgers’ recent statement about his love for his team and the fans, Florio said Rodgers must back up his talk. “I love my teammates, I love my coaches, I love the fans,’ Okay, fine, then you’re going to be there.”

Talking about his problems with the Packers’ management, Florio suggested that Rodgers must swallow his pride and get along with things. Much like how Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Wilson did earlier in the offseason.

“You got a problem with the boss. Who doesn’t have a problem with the boss at some level? We all got a problem with the boss at some level. So what, you deal with it and you move forward, just like Russell Wilson did in Seattle,” he added.

Green Bay is currently a city divided. While some belong to Rodgers camp, the old guard stands by the Packers management. The next few days, though, will definitely be interesting.
