Joe Burrow is inching closer and closer towards getting back to his very best. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback who had his promising rookie campaign cut short by an ACL tear he sustained in a clash against the Washington Football Team is back on the field.
But thankfully for the Bengals, the quarterback and his team of doctors believe he is almost 100% match fit. Seen throwing balls at the Bengals minicamp, Joe Burrow is excited about a new target he’ll get to throw at come next season.

With the fifth overall pick, the Bengals decided to draft LSU wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase. The same Chase who Burrow linked up with during his college days to win the national championship.
The duo ran riot as they steamrolled their way to the national title in 2019. Now set to link up again in the NFL, Burrow expects more of the same to follow in 2021.
Joe Burrow confident about Ja’Marr Chase’s success
Talking to the media, Burrow was asked about the impression the new wide receiver had made at the Bengals organization so far. And Burrow said that it’s all going just as expected.

“Everyone’s been surprised at how smart he was. I told everyone coming in that he’s not going to bust — he’s going to know exactly what to do, he’s going to be a pro. And that’s exactly what’s happened,” Burrow said.
Talking about Chase’s playing style, Burrow said it’s the wide receiver’s quick feet that has everybody stumped.
“He’s just super smooth on the field. He doesn’t look like he’s going super hard, and guys are coming up to me it’s like, ‘Is he going hard?’
He’s just at a different speed than everybody else. So it’s exciting to have him. He’s going to be great for us, and he’s a great friend as well,” he added.

The Bengals came under a lot of scrutiny for not picking a premier O-linesman like Penei Sewell to provide the pass protection Burrow so desperately needs. But it seems that Burrow himself is pretty happy with the pick himself.
Here’s hoping he remains fit to ensure a steady flow of passes to his favorite wide receiver.
