Colin Cowherd goes on a rampage against Baker Mayfield after the Ravens loss

Popular sportscaster, Colin Cowherd, did not hold back in his recent assessment of third-year quarterback, Baker Mayfield.

“I think I saw more potential from Joe Burrow in his first game yesterday. He is bigger than Baker. He throws a better ball than Baker. He’s more athletic than Baker. He feels more poised. He feels more consistent. More calm,” he said on The Herd With Colin Cowherd.

“[Baker] continues to think he is more athletic than he is. Tries to run around. He’s not… He’s not as athletic as he thinks he is. I don’t think it was a punch in the mouth moment.

“It’s a ‘realize who you are and play to your strengths’ moment… I thought it was a moment of clarity, which is: If Baker’s going to be throwing it 35 times a game, This is what it’s gonna look like,” Cowherd added via Brownsnation.

Cleveland Browns will go up against the Joe Burrow-led Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday in a crunch Week Two encounter. Pressure will be on coach Stefanski to recover from an opening day loss to the Ravens.

Meanwhile, Burrow will look to bounce back from the narrow loss against LA Chargers. It’s going to be a match-up between the two Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks, may the best man win.
