However, his coronation is not without its fair share of critics, actually, quite a lot. The NFL fans on Twitter have broken into a debate over their choice of rookies that they feel are better suited for the award.

On one side, Walker has made many fans proud by taking home the mid-season OROY. On the other side, rival fans and other spectators of the sports are clashing on the internet over this announcement.

Even with the RB having a stellar season, many believe there are better candidates. In spite of the result already being final, names of rival RB Dameon Pierce and Breece hall keep coming up as their respective supporters battle it out on Twitter.

While some congratulated Walker for this feat, others cannot accept his victory over Pierce, an RB for the Houston Texans.

Since Pierce did not win the award, this fan only had one conclusion about this snub.

Following this debate, there were also fans who said that if Breece Hall was not injured, he would have been the clear winner.

How was Kenneth Walker III’s performance?

His critics won’t take away the player’s trophy. And whether he deserves it more than his competitors is still a heavily debated topic. Yet nobody can argue that the Hawks have struck gold with this player. They picked this player with their 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. After impressing the world with his performances at Michigan State University, he luckily fell unexpectedly in the arms of John Schneider and Seattle.

In 8 games, the 22-years old has 570 yards on 111 rushing attempts, averaging around 5.1 yards per carry. In addition to his impressive numbers, he also has 7 rushing TDs. His longest yardage of the season was a 74-yard rush. In any case, the player seems really explosive in his position.
