Packer’s strategy for holistic drafting, aiding Aaron Rodgers

Then the team went on to pick up an OL Sean Rhyan who will be transitioning to an inside role as per reports due to his length. Subsequently they drafted Romeo Doubs from Nevada who will be joining Watson in the WR’s room. He is a couple of inches shy of Watson but has the ability to get behind coverage on deep routes.

This shows that the Packers are onto something. They have drafted top defensive players and then picked up quality and quantity in offensive drafting. They have also picked up 14 undrafted free agents.And that could be the over arching reason for their continuous success in the draft. Undoubtedly from Brett Favre to Rodgers to Adams they have always found their diamonds in the draft.

As Packers’ veteran writer Zach Kruse said:

So it is really not in the front offices’ hand any more.

And this year as well they seem to have given Rodgers the apt arsenal given the circumstances that the team found themselves in. And in any case, we have seen that the team can ride the regular season with ease given its talented play-caller and the proficiency of the roster. And roster building. The issues come when the big stage comes to town. When the lights are bright and the stakes are the highest.
