After losing terribly against the New England Patriots last week, the Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay decided to change the structure of his beloved franchise. Hence, he made one controversial decision and hired former NFL center Jeff Saturday as head coach.

Notably, Saturday recently joined ESPN as an analyst and posted a tweet against the Raiders’ team. Thereafter, he joined the Colts team as an interim coach and beat the Raiders this Sunday to get his first win as a professional coach.

After firing their head coach Frank Reich on November 7, Irsay wanted to make a quick replacement. During a recent meeting with the Colts president Pete Ward and GM Chris Ballard, Irsay expressed his desire to sign Saturday. The board members tried to talk Irsay out of it, but he insisted and went ahead with the decision.
After losing against the Patriots by 26-3, Irsay called Saturday and offered him the role of an interim coach for the Colts team. Notably, Saturday never coached above the college level. Hence, many were against the decision to appoint Saturday as the interim coach.

After getting the job, Saturday said, “I know I can lead men. I know I know the game of football, and I’m passionate about it. I have no fear about are you as qualified as somebody else. Bro, I spent 14 years in a locker room. I went to the playoffs 12 times. You don’t think I’ve seen how people prepare? How they coach? How they GM? How they work? I’ve won (one Super Bowl), been to two.”

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Saturday called out the Raiders and tweeted, “Raiders look horrible.”

After this, CBS tweeted an outrageous statistic about Saturday, who became the first coach since 1950 to win a game against a team after bashing them on Twitter. After this tweet, many NFL fans posted some hilarious reactions. As one Raiders fan tweeted.

The funny thing is while this is hilarious and made me laugh, I can't even bash the Raiders or call them horrible because they spanked the Texans by a score of 38-20! When you're a 1-7-1 team you should be the brunt of a clever joke like this. LOL

Meanwhile, Saturday earlier said that Sam Ehlinger will play against the Raiders; however, he changed his mind and gave Matt Ryan another opportunity to prove himself. Indeed, he did extremely well in that game and proved his worth.
In the game, he threw 222 yards for 1 touchdown and the Colts won the game by 25-20. After this win, they have a 4-5-1 record and are currently sitting in the second position in the AFC South behind the Titans. Still, they have some hopes for the playoffs, as they could blossom under their new coach Saturday.
