Head Coach Brian Flores led the Miami Dolphins their 4th consecutive win of the season in Week 9. The AFC East franchise outplayed Kyler Murray’s Arizona Cardinals by a 31-34 scoreline at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday.
Once again, rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins defense were the standout performers for the visitors. Tua went 20 of 28, throwing for 248 yards with 2 passing TDs to his name. However, another Dolphins player who grabbed eyeballs was the 23-year-old wide receiver, Preston Williams.

Second-year wide receiver Preston Williams enjoyed a productive outing against the Cardinals on Sunday. Despite being forced off the field at the end of the first half, Williams registered 60 receiving yards on 4 receptions with 1 touchdown to his name.
The injury occurred during the touchdown catch. Williams suffered a foot strain after catching the ball and falling to the ground.
“We’ll evaluate it day to day. He’s a tough kid. We’ll try to fight through things and see how that goes,” Flores told The Miami Herald.
The Miami Dolphins boss also spoke about the unnecessary ‘penalties’ his defensive players (especially CB Xavien Howard) imposed on themselves on Sunday.
“We had too many penalties throughout the game; it wasn’t just X. There are things we can do better, coach it harder. DeAndre Hopkins is a great player, tough cover. We did a good job on him for the most part, minus the penalties,” Coach Flores concluded.

With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in inspired form, the Dolphins can still push for a top spot in the AFC East Championship race. The Dolphins are 2nd in the table behind the Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills and above the New England Patriots.
This Championship race could go right down to the wire as the Dolphins get set to play all 3 of their divisional rivals in the next 6 weeks.
