Ryan Fitzpatrick has been a bit of a journeyman ever since joining the NFL. Over a career of over 15 years, the veteran quarterback has played for eight different franchises, including the likes of the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Miami Dolphins.
Now 38, the Harvard alum is entering the world of unrestricted free agency yet again. With his most recent employers, the Miami Dolphins, looking to have Tua Tagovailoa as their starter for 2021, Fitzpatrick will once again have to search for a new place to call home.

No stranger to the uncertainties of free agency, reports though suggests that the journeyman may have walked his final path in the NFL.
Ryan Fitzpatrick close to calling it a day
NFL reporter John Clayton recently said that the veteran quarterback is headed towards retirement. Clayton though noted that several teams are after the quarterback with the Denver Broncos being one of them. But according to Clayton, the quarterback appears to be “out of the mix” and is likely to call it a day.

Fitzpatrick had signed a two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins in 2019 worth $11 million. While he was their starting QB for the 2019 season, he soon took on the role of mentor for rookie Tua Tagovailoa in 2020.
Fitzpatrick and Tua, together formed a formidable partnership and became one of the very few rotating quarterback duos to have worked in the NFL.
And going by his performances in the league last season, Fitzpatrick clearly has some gas left in the tank.

Even with his helmet being tugged, Fitzpatrick made this remarkable play to help his side get within field goal position to pull off a sensational comeback win versus the Las Vegas Raiders. And it plays like these helped the quarterback get the moniker of ‘Fitzmagic’.
