Last season, the Bengals surprised everyone by reaching the Super Bowl. Their star quarterback, Joe Burrow played a pivotal part in achieving that. This year, they again qualified for the playoffs by clinching the AFC North title. In the week 18 game against the Ravens, they had a comfortable victory over them. After the game, a reporter asked Burrow about their potential window in the playoffs. In reply, the Bengals’ quarterback gave a blunt answer.

It is worth noting that Burrow joined the Bengals in the 2020 season. A year later, he became a starter for the team, and the Bengals clinched the AFC North title now in two consecutive seasons. Moreover, under Burrow’s leadership, they reached the Super Bowl last season. Although many believed it was a fluke run in the previous year, this year’s performance from Burrow is undoubtedly not a fluke.

The Bengals will play the Ravens once again

In the wild-card round, the Bengals will play against the Ravens once again in a week’s time. So far, they have played each other twice this season; winning one of each meeting. However, the Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has not played the last game and there’s a big question mark over his participation in the wild card game as well.

Jackson’s absence will give the Bengals and Burrow a better chance of winning. Certainly, the Bengals have played better than the last year and they reached the Super Bowl. So, Burrow and Co. could be in for another fairy tale run for the Lombardi trophy.
