Pete Carroll-coached Seattle Seahawks started their 2020 NFL season on a positive note. They went without a loss in the opening five games of their campaign. But their form dipped midway through the season. However, Russell Wilson-led Seahawks did enough to win the NFC West title and qualify for the playoffs.

The veteran NFL quarterback was an early frontrunner for the MVP title. Russell Wilson threw for 4,200+ yards with 40 passing touchdowns as the Seahawks crashed out in the Wild Card playoffs after losing out to the Los Angeles Rams.

There were rumors this summer that Wilson will move on from Seattle in the hunt for a new challenge. However, he decided to stay put and was key for the Seahawks as they defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1.

Russell Wilson gives his take on NFL overtime rules on ManningCast

Following his stunning display during the opening week of the 2021 NFL season, Russell Wilson made a brief appearance on ESPN’s Monday Night Football show featuring Peyton Manning and his younger brother, Eli Manning. The trio was covering the thrilling Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens game that went into overtime.

It was at this moment that Russ gave his two cents on the overtime regulations as sanctioned by the NFL.

“This thing drives me crazy. We go into overtime and play the 10 minutes, and if no one scores, we all end in a tie and everyone goes home? How terrible is that?” the Seahawks shot-caller said during the broadcast.

Wilson and Co. will be eager to ride on the wave from their first win of the season. The Seahawks walked away with a comfortable 28-16 win against the Colts. Their next opponent is Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee Titans.

Let’s hope the game doesn’t go into OT or else Russ will get cookin’ eh?
