Coming off from a bye week, the New England Patriots dramatically lost to the Indianapolis Colts, and the head coach Bill Belichick is anything but happy about it. The 27-17 loss in week 15 brought them down from being the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff standings and snapped their seven-game winning streak.

The next day in a press conference, coach Belichick answered all the questions in his peculiar grumpy and terse tone. He was much annoyed by the display put forth by his team and is completely disgruntled from his offense as well as defense. The carelessness and lack of spirit cost the franchise a top spot in the conference.

Bill Belichick is not happy with New England Patriots

“As far as the game goes, obviously we didn’t do anything well enough to win. Didn’t play well, didn’t coach well, too many penalties,” Belichick said. “Fumbles, interceptions. Over 200 yards rushing. Played from behind the whole game, so just nothing really good enough.”

The Patriots were trailing the Colts 20 to nothing moving into the fourth quarter of the game. Well, that was when the magic started to happen as the Patriots started to pick up scores one after another to make the score 20-17. However, late in the game, when Jonathan Taylor broke free for a 67-yard touchdown, the guests had lost the hope of any recovery.

When asked about the impressive fourth-quarter display by the Patriots. Belichick said, “we’ve got to do everything better than we did tonight.” And when asked to further elaborate on the failure of the Patriots against the Colts, he grew irritated.

“I’ve said it like five times, I could just say it another five times. We didn’t do anything well enough to win tonight,” he said. The loss was a disappointing one for the Patriots since now they have handed over the AFC leadership to the Kansas City Chiefs who are lapping over their victory runs all over again.

“Disappointing but we’ll move on,” said Belichick. And with that being said the Patriots focus on their next week’s matchup with the Bills. Their rematch is going to be a big one since the last time they met it was a completely bizarre experience as the Patriots won with just two complete passes throughout the game.
