Injuries are a common phenomenon when it comes to NFL games. From minor bruises to concussion injuries, players have had their share. And with 23 years of experience in the NFL, Tom Brady knows quite a bit about injuries, especially when it comes to himself. And Thursday’s press conference seemed to reaffirm the faith fans have, and he himself has, on his recovering abilities.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ QB, suffered a rotator cuff injury, during their game against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. And while he was seen holding his throwing shoulder, he did finish the game without missing a single play. The Bucs would go on to lose 41-31.

Tom Brady misses practice, sparks injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s game

Brady’s injury has been a cause for concern for fans of the Buccaneers. Things became even murkier, when the team announced that Brady missed Wednesday’s practice due to a right finger and shoulder injury.

The finger injury happened from the game against the New Orleans Saints (Sept.18), during a fumbled snap exchange. And yet, Brady played through the injury, not missing a single snap since.

But Thursday’s press conference gave fans a ray of hope. At the start of the press conference, the very first question a reporter asked Brady was, “How’s your shoulder feeling…?” To this, TB12’s confident response was sure to have helped Bucs fans breathe a collective sigh of relief.

“Good, feels great. Thanks for asking,” Brady said. And after a long pause, he further added, “I’ll be there Sunday,” in a Terminator-esque vibe.

Brady is known for his sustained “peak performance,” something he attributes to his strict eating habits. And fans can be certain that when Brady himself feels confident about taking the field on Sunday, there will be no second opinion needed.

The Buccaneers gear up to face division rivals Atlanta Falcons on Sunday

The Bucs will face the division opponents and long-time rivals, Atlanta Falcons, on Sunday, a battle for first place in the NFC South. The Bucs host a Falcons side that is on a 2-win streak, but lost their first two games of the season. And in all four of their game, the score difference is less than 4 points. This may become a headache for the already under fire, Bucs defense.

On the other hand, Brady’s bunch will be looking to overturn their ill fortune of late. And a win will be seen as redemptions for their losses against the Green Bay Packers, and the Chiefs. Although this might not have the same atmosphere as the 2002 meeting between these two rivals, expectations are high for a fight. A fight for bragging rights, for now.
