Davante Adams has finally left the Green Bay Packers. The wide receiver has followed his heart and signed a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Many Packers fans wanted to keep Adams, but it seems like the receiver had his mind set.

It seems like the return of Aaron Rodgers did not matter to Adams. He chose to reunite with his former Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr. According to the sources, the Raiders traded some premier picks for the wide receiver. They sent Green Bay their first round, 22nd overall, and second round, 53rd overall pick. The Packers now have four picks in the top 60.
The Packers were trying hard to keep Davante Adams. They were offering him more money than the Las Vegas Raiders. The new deal with the Raiders has made Adams the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. His new contract is worth $141.25 million over the course of five years. Green Bay was prepared to pay more than that. But the receiver showed everyone that he is not chasing money.

Aaron Rodgers’ favorite wide receiver has left town. Just days after the quarterback signed a blockbuster extension, Davante Adams made his move. Adams has signed a four-year deal with the Raiders. His new contract averages $28.5 million per season and $67.5 million fully guaranteed.
The National insider for the NFL, Ian Rapoport first broke the news. He also revealed that Adams’ agent said the Packers offered more money than Las Vegas.
