Cleveland Browns are currently languishing at the bottom of the AFC North Divisional Rankings. Last night, the Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a close encounter. This loss meant that they are currently tied in their number of wins and losses. One player who has misfired recently is Odell Beckham Jr.

While their recent strings of losses have mostly been due to sloppy mistakes, there is one more thing that has caught the eye of any is Odell Beckham Jr’s lack of involvement. It almost feels like none of the players like to pass the ball to him. Browns coach Kevin was asked about this post-match last night and he accepted that it’s more of a coaching issue than anything to do with Odell.

“I need to do a better job” – Browns coach takes full responsibility for Odell Beckham Jr’ recent failures

After last night’s 15-10 to Pittsburgh Steelers, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski spoke to the media. When quipped about Odell Beckham Jr’s dismal numbers for the franchise, the Browns coach admitted he needs to do a better job in coaching the players and setting up the play.

“First and foremost, I need to do a better job,’‘ Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday, via Cleveland.com. “I really do. I need to make sure that I put him in a position to make some plays and I didn’t do a good enough job, certainly yesterday. Having said that, he gets a lot of attention from the defense. There were a bunch of plays where the safety is cheating on him and that opens up opportunities for other guys,” revealed Stefanski

Despite poor numbers to show, Browns coach believes that Beckham’s effect can be seen on the team

Kevin Stefanski pointed out that despite Odell not making any direct contributions, he plays an important role in the offense. According to the Browns head coach, the former New York quarterback does an incredible job in taking away the defense which opens space for other players to attack.

“I think of an early third down that we had where the post safety stayed to the boundary side because he was cheating towards Odell and we hit a big play to Jarvis, so his effect on our offense is there. But I do need to do a better job of making sure the ball makes its way into his hands,” concluded the Browns head coach.
