The Jaguars own the first-overall pick for this year’s NFL Draft. The fact that newly-appointed HC Urban Meyer was present at Clemson’s Pro Day will spark rumors that the legendary college football coach intends on drafting Lawrence as the number one overall pick in two months’ time.

Lawrence missed out on the Heisman Trophy this year. But his individual numbers from his final season with the Tigers were nothing other than impressive. The three-time ACC Champion finished his junior year with 3,153 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and 5 interceptions

Trevor Lawrence was diagnosed with a torn labrum in his left shoulder earlier this month. Reports indicated that Lawrence had refused to throw for NFL scouts due to his latest injury.

However, he later stated that he would still throw in front of professional league scouts ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. Despite his strong display in the last three years, there is no guarantee that Lawrence will be picked first.

Ohio State star Justin Fields and Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver De’Vonta Smith could also emerge as surprise first-picks. But Jags fans can’t help but hope to see Lawrence lining up for their franchise when the season starts in September.
