The NFL is really famous for historic rivalries and one seems to be quickly developing between Aaron Rodgers and former Bears player Dick Butkus. The Packers and Bears do share one of the most lopsided rivalries in the whole of NFL. But even retirement doesn’t seem to bother Bears legend Butkus to go after Packers QB Rodgers immediately after getting blue tick verification on Twitter. The former player received his verification following running a campaign demanding it since mid-January.

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t got Butkus on his mind
The reigning league MVP has been a man who is sporadically active on social media. He also had a big game against the San Francisco 49ers to focus his attention towards in the playoffs. So, Butkus is only trying to get into a war of words with a player who seems to have his focus on an extremely important game for his legacy.

The 5-time All-Pro linebacker has previously as well been on the search for getting into a feud with Aaron Rodgers. He was critical of Rodgers and his indulgence in the ‘Halo: Infinite’ video game. The Hall of Fame LB was seen calling Rodgers childish for his love of video games.
The Bears legend seems to have succeeded in angering some Packers fans with his actions. He ended up joking with them while apologizing for trending on Twitter. The former Bears linebacker seems to have been figuring out Twitter and the whole concept of staying relevant in a social media age. If that was Butkus’ aim, he seems to have successfully pulled it off.
